Damon Sheehy-Guiseppi From Rejection to Living with Purpose
From sleeping outside a training facility to scoring an NFL touchdown—Damon Sheehy-Guiseppi is living proof that heart, hustle, and belief can take you places talent alone cannot.
Damon burst onto the national scene as a preseason icon with the Cleveland Browns, returning an 86-yard punt for a touchdown in his very first NFL game. What few knew then was the full story: Damon had been homeless, sleeping outside a training facility, bluffing his way into a tryout, and betting everything on a once-in-a-lifetime chance.
Since then, Damon has played across the NFL, CFL, European leagues, and the UFL. In 2024, he earned Italian Football League Offensive Player of the Year, and in 2025, he returned from injury to rejoin the Arlington Renegades in the UFL—featured by FOX Sports in their national segment “Overcoming Hurdles.”
Today, Damon is more than an athlete—he’s a speaker, motivator, and living example of perseverance through adversity. His talks resonate with audiences from high school students to pro athletes, Fortune 500 teams to leadership summits, where he speaks openly about:
-
Overcoming rejection, injury, and self-doubt
-
The mindset behind never quitting—even when it seems over
-
What it takes to bounce back and earn your spot—again and again
-
Turning failure into fuel
Whether you’re seeking a speaker for team building, youth empowerment, faith-based groups, or business motivation, Damon brings raw energy, real perspective, and lasting impact.
My path to the NFL is crazy. In my mind, I haven’t done anything that significant. I had a dream. I worked hard and sacrificed for almost three years to be ready for when the opportunity did happen.
I wasn’t supposed to be there. I just showed up and believed I belonged. That changed everything.
Manifest today what you want for tomorrow.
